Nalepo Primary School – Building the future in the heart of Kenya
The Chincherini Foundation, in the Maasai village of Nalepo on the Tanzanian border, is promoting a project to provide education and better living conditions for local children. After constructing a well and temporary facilities, it has started the construction of a complete primary school in 2025, with classrooms, services, kitchen and teacher spaces. The initiative aims to reduce inequality, provide daily meals and support local teachers. The project, implemented with the Kenyan Ministry of Education and the Nalepo community, will strengthen local development and empowerment.

Ukunda Dental Clinic
Since 2010, Dr. Claudio Dutto has been volunteering as a dentist in our care homes in Kenya, where he established a fully equipped dental clinic. In 2017, he was awarded an honorary recognition by the President of the Italian Republic for his humanitarian commitment.

Nyumba ya watoto
The project in Ukunda includes three care home housing complexes that welcome minors from severely disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with accommodation, education, medical care, and emotional and educational support. The activities are carried out in collaboration with local social services and aim to fully respect children’s rights, with reintegration into families where possible and support for studies even after reaching adulthood.

Smiley Hands in Kenya: Together for the Rebirth of the Smiling School
In the informal settlement of Korogocho, on the outskirts of Nairobi, the Treviso-based organization “Una Mano per un Sorriso – ODV” has been supporting children from the most vulnerable families since 2014, offering them education and protection.
At the heart of this commitment is the Smiling School, a middle school that for years has been a safe haven and a place for growth.
Due to the deterioration of the building and its furnishings, a major renovation project has been launched.
The initiative includes new classrooms, a canteen, solar panels, a teaching garden, and a small sports field to improve both learning conditions and students’ quality of life.
