Always attentive to the needs of the community, children, and youth, the Germano Chincherini Foundation donated the necessary play structures to the Municipality of Letojanni and its residents for the “Germano Chincherini” playground, located in the center of Letojanni, in Piazza Corrado Cagli.

The inauguration was attended by Mayor Alessandro Costa and the entire local administration, as well as Antonio Riccobene, representative of the Foundation in Sicily, and Sebastiano Sciacca, purchasing manager for Parc Hotels Italia Sicilia.
The project was carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Letojanni, which handled the construction work, the wooden fencing around the park, the safety paneling, and the installation of a video surveillance system.
The equipment donated by the Foundation complements the existing play structures, covering an area of approximately 450 square meters. Specifically, the new additions include:

  • a children’s area with a castle tower structure (the “Malaga” play unit), two plastic slides with an adjoining swing for toddlers, a double swing with both a flat seat and a safety cage seat for younger children;
  • two single spring riders in the shape of horses;
  • and a roundabout with bench seating.

Soft plastic safety tiles have been installed beneath all the play equipment to cushion any potential falls, covering the entire area around the structures.
